| OSU Women's Studies PositionThe Department of Women’s Studies at Ohio State University invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure-track position in Visual and Narrative Culture at the rank of Assistant Professor.For this position we seek individuals with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research, as well as feminist theory. The Department includes 15 core faculty members, 8 with full appointments in Women’s Studies and 7 with joint appointments. We also enjoy the support of 50 associated faculty. The Department offers the undergraduate major and minor, an M.A. degree, and (beginning in Autumn 2002) the PhD. The department seeks candidates who
approach feminist theories of visual culture in art history, popular culture, photography, imaging technologies, architecture, and/or performance-any form of visual representation other than film. Requirements for the positions include a PhD in Women’s Studies or a relevant field, or graduate certification in Women’s Studies, and/or equivalent teaching experience in interdisciplinary Women’s Studies courses. A strong commitment to teaching and research is expected.
