On February 1, the House of Representatives will vote on the budget reconciliation spending cuts bill (S. 1932). The bill cuts Medicaid, student loans, child support enforcement, child care, foster care, and disability assistance.

President Bush's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform:
President Bush has formed an Advisory Panel to make recommendations on tax reform. The Panel held public meetings and discussions on tax policy, and made recommendations on November 1, 2005. None of their meetings have focused on the specific ways that women are affected by taxes.
