Ending Human Trafficking Gains National Recognition in the New Year

Just four days into the new year, President Obama declared January National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. According to the U.S. State Department, an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 men, women, and children are trafficked across international borders each year; approximately 80% of trafficking victims are women and girls.
