Congress Examines the Workforce Investment Act

Here's one for all you policy wonks! On April 7th, the Institute for Women's Policy Research organized a Congressional Briefing on how the reauhorization of the Workforce Investment Act can help narrow the gender wage gap and provide greater opportunities for women--particularly in non-traditional occupations. The briefing featured testimony from Ariane Hegewisch, Institute for Women’s Policy Research; Susan Rees, Wider Opportunities for Women; Marie-Louise Caravatti, American Federation of Teachers; and Mimi Lufkin, CEO, National Alliance for Partnership in Equity.
