Visiting Scholars are faculty and independent scholars from outside NYU who are resident at the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality for a limited time to conduct research.
NYU’s location in the heart of Greenwich Village and its library collections and other research resources offer unique opportunities for research. The faculty at NYU offers a dazzling array of colleagues with whom to collaborate.
Visiting scholars typically spend one to two semesters at NYU. At present, we are unable to offer office space to Visiting Scholars. There is, however, limited access to fax, copier, computer and internet. Library access and borrowing privileges are provided.
Visiting Scholars are expected to participate in the life of the Center by attending CSGS events, including regularly scheduled lunch talks in which Visiting Scholars may be asked to present current research projects. There are also opportunities for Visiting Scholars to meet as a group to discuss their research. Back
