- The Department of Labor's multi-year report documented that for every dollar spent on unemployment insurance, economic activity increased by two dollars [2].
- The President's Council of Economic Advisors recently reported that if Congress does not extend UI benefits, 600,000 U.S. jobs will be lost [3].
- Moody's cheif economist Mark Zandi found that unemployment insurance is the second most stimulative form of government spending [4] behind food stamps.
