FAST FACT: Unemployment Insurance Boosts GDP

According to a multi-year Department of Labor study released this morning, unemployment insurance has had a positive impact on economic activity during this latest recession.  One key finding: For every dollar spent on unemployment insurance, economic activitity increased by two dollars.  You can read the news release here [2] or the full report here [3].
