84% of 7th-12th graders say they intend to vote in every election (up from 77% two decades ago), according to a report from the Girl Scouts Research Institute [3]. Good Intentions: The Beliefs and Values of Teens and Tweens Today says that

contrary to media portrayals of a generation lost, youth today are civic minded and responsible to themselves, and even more committed to these values than their predecessors were 20 years ago.
