MISSING: Scientific Basis for Refusing EC Over-the-counter Status

As NCRW reported in May 2004 ,the FDA ruled that the Emergency Contraceptive, Plan B, should not be made available over-the-counter. The FDA declared this finding despite its own advisory council’s recommendation for approval.
The FDA is likely to rule again on the prescription status of Emergency Contraception by January 20 th. Use this link, provided by the National Organization of Women (NOW) to contact the FDA and tell them why you think this important form of birth control should be available over-the-counter.
