UPDATE: Feminist Press Releases Book on Government's "War on Women"

On April 25, 2004, the Feminist Press (NCRW Member Center) began selling advance copies of a book entitled The W Effect: Bush's War on Women. This collection of articles, edited by Laura Flanders, further explores many of the trends highlighted in MISSING, as it documents recent policy decisions that have adversely affected women - both in the U.S. and internationally - in critical areas such as reproductive health, the economy, education, health care, and the war in Iraq, amongst others. The collection includes pieces by Charlotte Bunch, Katha Pollitt, Gloria Steinem, Barbara Ehrenreich, Noeleen Heyzer, Patricia Williams, the National Women's Law Center (NCRW Member Center), and many more.
