The Women's Interart Center is a not-for-profit cultural organization committed to the development and presentation of women artists in the performing, visual, and media arts. The center has produced more than 600 events, including productions that have generated numerous awards, including Obie Awards and Drama Desks. In addition, the center also acts as a catalyst within its local community to bring revitalization to an area, known as the Clinton Urban Renewal Area in Manhattan, long designated "distressed" by the State of New York.
