The GWRI is dedicated to activist participation in research directed toward social, political and economic changes that improve the status of women through partnerships with universities. The goal of the GWRI is threefold: to impact policy makers and international organizations on gender policy; to provide university support to grass-roots women’s organizations and NGOs; and to create educational models that encourage collaboration between researchers and activists.
