Marna C. Whittington

Marna C. Whittington is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s Investment Management Division. We celebrate her for her work in the fields of public service, higher education, and business, and her efforts to change workplace culture and to support and mentor other women. Ms. Whittington has served as Budget Director and Secretary of Finance for the State of Delaware, Deputy Secretary of Education in Pennsylvania, and Executive Vice President at the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Whittington received the 2000 Women Executives in State Government Excellence in Leadership Award for her work to encourage the advancement of women and minorities at all levels. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Rohm & Haas Co., Federated Department Stores, and the Berwind Group. She also serves as a Trustee of Middlebury College and Proctor Academy, is on the Industry Advisory Board of the Financial Institutions Center at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and funds a scholarship at Goldey Beacom College for young women who demonstrate academic strength, leadership, and commitment to career excellence.
