Charlotte Bunch
Charlotte Bunch is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Women's Global Leadership at Rutgers University. NCRW honors her for her contributions to the international human rights movement and for teaching the world that women's rights are human rights. She has written numerous articles, edited seven anthologies, authored Passionate Politics: Feminist Theory in Action, and co-authored Demanding Accountability: The Global Campaign and Vienna Tribunal for Women's Human Rights. As an activist and scholar, she has received numerous awards, including the 1999 Eleanor Roosevelt Award for Human Rights, and in 1996, she was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame. Currently, Ms. Bunch is a Professor in the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, and serves on the Boards of the Ms. Foundation for Women and the Human Rights Watch Women's Rights Division.
