Women in Fund Management: A Road Map for Achieving Critical Mass – and Why it Matters

8:00 am – 10:00 am

Barclays Wealth

200 Park Avenue in the MetLife Building, 5th Floor

The global financial crisis begs the question: What if? Many experts are asking if the current situation would look the same if there had been more women in charge of investment decision-making and oversight. The Council’s comprehensive and timely report presents an overview of the latest research into the different investment management styles of women and men, how they approach risk and what the global economy might look like if a critical mass of women were bringing their decision-making talents to the table. It also proposes action steps for advancing women, not only in the financial sector, but across professions and fields in the economy and society.

Speakers:

  • Linda Basch, President, National Council for Research on Women
  • Jacki Zehner, Founding Partner of Circle Financial Group; Vice Chair, Women’s Funding Network; Former Partner, Goldman Sachs
