CENTER DESCRIPTION
The Institute for Research on Women (IROW) at the University at Albany, State University of New York promotes and facilitates individual and collaborative research and scholarship on issues pertaining to women and gender. Additionally, IROW publishes materials and disseminates information on women's issues in addition to establishing linkages and joint projects with other national women's research centers. IROW is further responsible for technical and consulting services; conferences and workshops; an affiliate scholars program; and a newsletter.

RECENT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
Conferences and Workshops. Recent IROW conferences and workshops have included Cross-Cultural Approaches to Curriculum Transformation; Workshop on Global Women's History; Gender in International Perspective: Cross-Cultural Approaches to Curriculum Transformation; and Women in the Global Economy: Making Connections.
