To celebrate 30 years of feminist based research at CROW, and 100 years of women at the University of Memphis, CROW will honor 100 women who made a difference to the University. If you know of an exceptional woman from the University of Memphis, nominate her. Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2011. The Center is also currently working with the National Council for Research on Women and the Institute for Women's Studies at the University of Georgia on a project to understand the impact of increased child care funding allocated to low income women and families under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. |

More Women Leaders, Not Just Big Budgets,Leads to Greater Corporate Social Responsibility According to Gender and Corporate Social Responsibility:It's a Matter of Sustainability, a joint study between Catalyst and Harvard Business School, companies with more women board directors and corporate officers contributed significantly more charitable funds, on average, than companies with fewer or no women in senior roles. |
The Center for Women Policy Studies has been mobilizing state legislators across the country to endorse a Policy Resolution on Reproductive Rights and Justice. The resolution calls for designating the week of January 22 - 28, 2012 as Reproductive Rights Awareness Week, to encourage public awareness, conversation, and support for reproductive rights and women's health nationwide.
