The Department of Anthropology at Colby College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2012. We particularly encourage candidates with demonstrated research and teaching expertise in the Islamic world and in either medical anthropology or the anthropology of religion and expressive culture. The successful candidate will have Ph.D. in hand and will be expected to teach introduction to sociocultural anthropology, ethnographic research methods, and three other courses determined in conjunction with departmental needs and the candidate's areas of interest.
